The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center was transformed from a public space to an association gala in only a few hours. The priority of the design was to create a visual look that complemented the concept of clean water and utilized the dramatic grandeur of the building’s architecture. Because the event started in the daytime and then transitioned to night it had to be visually dramatic in both scenarios. Lighting played a crucial role in the overall design, highlighting the architecture, projecting color and patterns on the stage set, and custom LED lights creating the aqua glow for the acrylic centerpieces. Every detail including the custom plateware enhanced the clean water design motif. The overall visual impact was dynamic and provided great event value.
