A “Modern Southern Elegance” wedding was designed for a young couple whose dream was to be married on the groom’s parent’s estate farm. A 10,000 square foot tent was erected for 300 guests to accommodate both the ceremony and dinner celebration. At the conclusion of the ceremony the guests enjoyed a reception in the main house and adjoining tenting. White drapery in the main tent was raised to mask a forty-five minute transformation of the main tent from the ceremony to an evening of dinner and dancing. Guests were amazed at the culinary selections of the southern Chesapeake style food stations and the dramatic change in lighting, seating, entertainment and festive ambiance.
