The famous Eden Rock Resort in Saint Barthélemy in the South Caribbean was transformed for a private 50/50 joint birthday party for a husband and wife and 175 of their closest friends and associates. Because the existing beach site could only accommodate 60 guests and the ocean surged each night up to the existing structure, a permanent style pier stage was erected. Barges of sand were brought in to extend the beach, a custom tent structure was created to cover the stage and dance area, and all equipment including technical and power was shipped in by boat from Miami. The event started with a beautiful early evening reception in the resort’s restaurant and bar and then the guests were treated to a nighttime transformation on the beach for dinner, a program, concert, dancing, and fireworks finale. The cirque style performers were a perfect compliment to the client’s style and resulted in a visually dynamic beach party.
